Many ECS applications are processed in around 10–15 working days after ECS receive all correct documents. Processing times are controlled by ECS and may vary.

The £79 fee is for our application support service only. ECS and test providers may charge their own separate fees for the HS&E test and for issuing the physical ECS card.

Eligibility Requirements (Typical)

  • Relevant electrical qualification such as NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in wiring installations, panel building and control system assembly.
  • Valid pass in the ECS Health, Safety & Environmental Assessment.
